The city of angels has more to offer than any one person could discover over a lifetime. Generations of Orange County residence have been building lives in the desert of L.A. that are full of every possible life scenario. My first journey into Los Angeles was nearly twelve years ago. My future wife and I were driving to L.A. for the heck of it. The sites to see are endless, but some of the most famous include; Mann's Chinese Theater, The walk of Fame, Venice Beach, the Hollywood sign, Le Brea tar pits and the list goes on.

L.A. has a rich landscape that can present ocean beaches, metro areas and snowy mountain tops all within a couple of hours drive. Iconic tourist sites dot the Orange County map. Disneyland, Lego Land, and Magic Mountain just to name a few world famous destination that are in the Los Angeles area. The thrill factor in L.A. is rarely matched. Los Angeles is one of the top 20 cities in population in the world.
My Advice:

- The "nitty gritty" parts of the city pop up around every corner, so be aware of your surroundings. It is NOT okay to go tourist style into shady parts of the city. These areas are easily recognized by the run down buildings and the out of place feeling you may have in your gut.
- Create a map with the main highways and byways of the city on google then print it out. GPS is great and all, but tall buildings and mounds of concrete block signals at inopportune times.
- Map your path to your hotel, and then onto your destinations and back to your hotel by simply using the add a destination link on google maps.
- Save all of this by clicking on the Link button next to the maps print button. You can copy and paste the link into an email and email yourself. Now you can check that email and copy and paste the link into a browser on your laptop or the hotels computer.
- Lastly, don't expect every hotel and motel to be empty. There are many events that nearly sell out all hotels in certain areas of L.A. throughout the year. Have lodging secured before you even leave the house.
Monsoon Cafe

Dining at the Monsoon Café is a relaxing, spiritual experience provided by a unique atmosphere and fresh food. Even before diners walk through the door they are hypnotized by a pair of soothing yet intriguing eyes that adorn the front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself looks like a two story Eastern temple high ceilings and dazzling lighting fixtures, with lots of gold trim adorning columns and walls alike.
Cafe Sevilla

Rogelio and Janet Huidobro opened the first Cafe Sevilla in 1987, honoring their homeland with a Spanish restaurant in San Diego’s Gas lamp Quarter. After finding additional success in Riverside, they launched in downtown Long Beach in 2006. Mid week, the old-world setting draws business types.
